Valley of Despair is a Canadian metal band blending together elements of melodic metal, power metal and thrash. The Edmonton, AB based group released their debut EP "Burn At The Stake" on November 29th 2024. 

Valley of Despair toured with their EP across Western Canada in 2025 with festival stops in Armstrong BC and Yellowknife NT, and is currently gearing up for a festival circuit in Alberta and the Northwest Territories for 2026.

The band has been nominated for the Breakout West Western Canadian Music Awards in the “Metal & Hard Music Artist Of The Year” category.

VoD is currently writing their debut full legnth album with plans to release new music in 2026.
